Really like this app for tracking my weight so I remember and can see my progress. Also like looking up foods to see how many calories are in them helps me a lot also.

I love being able to monitor my heart rate thruout the day and “especially at night”! —> Every morning I pull up the FitBit ap on my cell phone to review my heart rate from the previous night. *** It tells me if I had a good nights sleep, or an uneasy night. (a night of drinking…NOT good! As FitBit will show you)

Don’t like the new graphics. The sleep view is hard to view the graph. I prefer darker contrast.

The saying “if it’s not broke, don’t fix it’ could not be more true. I used to love the prior version of this app, so much so that I would wear my Apple Watch during the day and use the Fitbit at night. Having a sleep disorder, it was important for me to have a clear picture of my sleep and the prior version allowed me to view everything in a very neat, organized and easy to read manner. The new changes are horrible…they are not designed in a way that’s easy to see at a glance. The color palate (or lack thereof) basically killed Fitbits appeal for me. I tried other sleep trackers that were compatible with the Apple Watch before ultimately making the decision to purchase another Fitbit when my old Fitbit died. They, too, lacked the ability to provide at a glance, easy to navigate results. With that said, I can guarantee that I will not be purchasing another Fitbit in the future. It’s unfortunate that the appeal and features that sets them apart from other sleep trackers, is effectively gone (RIP). Tracking is now subpar and the app no longer holds any amount of value for me, which is sad because I used to rave about how amazing it was to have a sleep app that gave me useful data in an easily navigable manner. Often times with major changes to technology products, there is an option to use the new platform or continue using the old one. Perhaps if the brains behind the redesign had thought to provide that option, they would be able to record useful feedback from customers simply by tracking who is using the old platform verses the new. That data would likely illustrate the consumers wants and needs in a fairly quick manner. While I can’t speak for everyone, I have a hunch they would find a much higher usage of the old platform versus the new. All in all, this product and app has no value anymore. I will not be purchasing another Fitbit, and cannot, in good conscience, provide future recommendations. I realize I’m just one person with a single review, but I sincerely hope that as a company, they take a wholistic view on the changes they’ve made and reconsider offering consumers a better experience in the future. Until then, and it pains me to have to say this, they have lost not only a long time customer, but a raving fan as well. Goodbye Fitbit…it was a nice run while it lasted.

The new sleep update is harder to understand and no fun to look at. I hate it.
  • Bland Fitbit Premium

Not sure why this was updated with just bland graphics. It used to be colorful and easy to look at. Since the last set of updates it’s just not visually pleasing to look at.

  • Device requires app to start up, but app won’t load.

It’s hard to believe how swiftly Google has alienated such a large number of long-time, devoted Fitbit users! The devices no longer operate as advertised, the new app crashes constantly, and the UI is a clumsy mess. Replacement tracker (turns out it’s not actually water resistant after all) won’t start up without the app, and the app won’t start up, so it’s DOA again.
  • Disappointed features removed

The best part of the Fitbit was the ability to do challenges with friends and family. Having bought many for that purpose over the years it was extremely disappointing to have it removed. For years it we used it across states and time zones as a fun challenge and interaction. I could see my 70 yr old Mom wasn’t getting around during Covid and used it to get her to turn on the radio and dance long distance with us to encourage a step count. Long time users begged to keep this feature to deaf ears. Now my friends and family barely use it. It is now just one of many brands in this saturated market. Such a loss.

The new update is terrible. When you try to look at the runs you do the app freezes. Like the old versions better. They were much more reliable.
