  • One annoying glitch

    Update: An annoying glitch persists where “starred” translations are kept FOREVER. Sure it lets you delete them, but they simply reappear the next time I use the app. Short, common phrases are translated very well. Even when I speak the phrases it translates them accurately to Spanish. It does mess up some English to Japanese translations; it tells me to pronounce は as “ha”, when it’s pronounced as “wa” when used as a particle.

    Imagine clicking listen to translation and it’s too fast to understand and you can’t adjust speed. This has been ongoing since app’s inception. Imagine paying devs for this pathetic work.

    Has "Palestine" under speech regions, in case you missed it it is not a country or a valid territory. It's Israel. That's it. Cope. Israel is a sovereign country stop trying to undermine the security of its people with your propaganda.

    It don’t work half the time. Need more language selections and all languages should have the speaker option.

    All this time google translate had the widget which made life easy but all of a sudden the widget stopped working, tried removing it but now I can’t add it back to my home screen because the widget option has been removed. Nice!

    Bring back the old UI (user interface) its so much better and simple to use, the app went from like a lambo to a prius

    I have to use a translator every day at my job and ever since this app was updated, I struggle to do the most basic of things with it. It’s no longer simple to use.

    When you use google to translate online it will include a phonetic translation for certain languages with non-Roman alphabets (Greek,etc). It makes learning the language and reading the language so easy. The app doesn’t do this, and it seems like it would be an easy and valuable addition.

    This application is very valuable, but for the needs of today's world, Google Translate developers need to delve much deeper into their work to perfect this service and achieve excellence in an increasingly demanding market. Likewise, I long to have a choice of voices, I, of course, like male voices.
