  • Frustrating! Different UI than Android!

My wife uses an Android and heard great things about this "Translator" app. She downloaded it and it was a cinch to use. Then I downloaded it on my iPhone and WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT! On the iPhone, it is a unintuitive! I could not get it to operate like my wife could. We are working with Haitian refugees, and she EASILY was able to translate back and forth using her ANDROID! Why is it that the same app operates differently on a different platform? I was so frustrated that I felt like I had to find a manual to use an app. C'mon! MICROSOFT, WHAT GIVES!? Please make this easy and intuitive to use just as it is on the Android platform. I still have not figured out how to make this work and use the features that my wife could easily use.

You’re on the right track. Soon, it’ll almost as good as it was 2 years ago… IF you don’t break anything, while fixing bugs.
  • Rubbish Update

This current new update is very useless. Removing the easy way to copy what you have translated, and also removing the part where the words translate and English part displayed when you copy is insane. Don’t download it’s never as it used to be so easy before anymore. Very stressful and frustrating. No No. don’t.
  • Why do they ruin apps?

My wife and I used this app for several years to help us with more complicated conversations while her English improves. Then the developers decided to “improve” this app. The app is now completely useless. Don’t bother downloading it. It really doesn’t serve any purpose, you can do better with a number of different translation apps. If you read reviews that say this app is good be wary if they’re dated in 2023 or before because those are the old app when this was actually useful. You can’t download that version of the app anymore so you are stuck with this garbage. Just another example of developers not understanding what customers want.
  • Dialect

How can it say choose your dialect, then in the Arabic dialects you see Arab counties and Israel? Since when Israel speaks Arabic? They speak Hebrew.. it should’ve said Palestine (Arabic) not Israel under Arabic dialect that’s the most uneducated thing I’ve ever seen!!

03/27/24 Microsoft Translator is getting a lot better. I just pasted a short paragraph from a short story in Spanish. So far Microsoft Translator translated it perfectly. I’m very impressed because I tried two other very popular translation apps and they got it wrong. The paragraph was a dialogue of a guy asking a girl if they were still going to the movies. She answered no because she had to study. The thing the other translator apps got wrong were the pronouns. Pronouns are very important to me because I’m trying to learn Spanish on my own and I depend on a good and solid translation app. Keep up the great work, Microsoft. 🙂 I thank you very much!!
