    The ads are ruining the free Bible. Everytime I click on the Bible icon to read it turns the screen white as if an ad is trying to show but there’s nothing. Great Bible don’t get me wrong it’s just too many bugs even after a year or longer. So sorry guys. Hopefully this can be corrected soon.

  • This app is no longer about the Bible

    Used to be great, now it’s just another vehicle to inundate you with annoying pop-up adds designed to take advantage of the user by hiding the “close” or “x” button, so user inadvertently gets redirected to the paid advertisement. Very dishonest and annoying

    This app was my favorite until they did the updates a few years ago. I initially had a terrible time and tried reaching out to support but ever got a response. They started using ads that can be inappropriate (that’s so contrary to the purpose of the app), entire chapters are missing, I can’t listen to max McLean read the Old Testament unless I’m in KJV … whereas I used to be able to listen to him in ESV. How did all of his recordings just disappear? Super weird! I’m really sad because my kids grew up listening to this app every night. I’ve used it for years and today I deleted it. Don’t know if anyone in cyber space is paying attention but I’d love if the bugs got fixed and it went back to the way it was!

    The application works when it wants to. I’ve tried to open it for the past week and all I get is a blank white screen. Frustrating because it was my devotional

    I keep repeating the same thing!!! Great Bible App!! Lousy mechanics!! It works when it wants to. I really wanted to purchase it!! Thank goodness I didn’t!!!!

  • Pop-up ads are annoying

    This is a Bible app so when I’m having quiet time to study, it’s distracting when out of nowhere an ad pops up that blocks the whole screen and the happiness I was feeling from studying is replaced by the anger I feel that I have to wait until the countdown is complete before I can press the x button for it to go away. At least keep the ads in an area that isn’t intrusive. I don’t care about the content of the ad anyway when I’m trying to have quiet time with God. God is much more important. Thanks.

    Today I decided to delete this app. It’s not the app that it used to be. There’s verses missing and the update is just terrible, the update transition is not good and why all the ads. It’s to many ads.

    Used the app for over 10 years, about the time I switched from Google Pixel phone to iPhone, started getting ads, very annoying, especially at church. I assumed it was a fault of Apple, now I realize it is everyone. The last two months, the Bible won’t load. Deleted Bible Gateway app, now I need to find another one.
