Should be an option in Filter to find Highest Rated.

I turned in-app notifications off, but they still send them. Not an OS problem.
  • Saved me from going back to meat

I was in my 19th year of being vegetarian and getting incredibly bored with it when I discovered this app. It not only saved me from going back to meat but it helped me be a better cook and have more confidence using ingredients on hand. Can’t recommend it more.
  • Half the reason to subscribe to NYTimes

Not using NYTimes Cooking as often since recent “improvements” made the app user unfriendly. Ability removed, to copy and revise to my cooking specs, to reduce serving sizes, hence requiring ingredient list and prep adjustments. Was much easier to copy, paste to Notes app to cook from and make notes. Workarounds are possible but time consuming. Please return app to previous capability to justify my NYTimes subscription.

The NYT Cooking app has completely transformed my vegetarian lifestyle. With its intuitive design and vast array of recipes, I've learned new techniques and expanded my meal repertoire. It's an essential tool that has made cooking both intuitive and exciting. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to elevate their culinary skills!

The app is no longer hot garbage! And the recipes are delicious
  • Can’t search saved recipes

Recipes added to your ‘Recipe Box’ can’t be found by searching within your Recipe Box. They can still be found by searching in the main Search tab, but it makes saving them to the Recipe Box almost pointless.

Is not something the NYT folks know about.
  • App Changes Not Great

I have used (and loved) this app for years. The recipes are great and I love the comment sections for tweaks or efficiency advice. By far my favorite feature of this app is how the screen stays “awake” while you have a recipe open. I love being able to minimally touch my phone while cooking. However, in the latest update it seems this only works now if you have the recipe in “start cooking” mode. I absolutely hate this feature. All it does it put the recipe in bigger font, which for me makes it frustrating because I can only see so much without scrolling. It also separates the ingredients and preparation into separate pages. Not every recipe requires a full mise en place. It’s really frustrating to have to switch back and forth. I just want to be able to see the whole recipe without having to constantly wake and unlock my phone. I have loved this app but the latest changes are just frustrating.
  • Has some issues that could be easily fixed

I would give this 5 stars, except that the app doesn’t allow my iPad to go to sleep, and if you navigate away from the app and come back, the recipe you were looking at isn’t up front anymore, and you have to find it again. Also, it would be great to be able to respond directly to other user’s Notes, since many ask questions that you can’t answer directly.
