  • Disappointing

I loved this at first, but as soon as I got to the 2nd unit, the prompts got really confusing. I didn’t know what it was even asking, and it seemed to involve words and phrases that weren’t even covered yet. I basically guessed my way through and learned nothing. I went from being excited to do the next lesson to now having no interest at all. I regret paying for a full year.
  • Too much money to learn Spanish!

When I got Babbel, I just thought you would get the app and learn. Simple as that! After I did the questionare, it charged me. As a 10 year old just wanting to learn a second language for fun, this came as a shock. I was upset. 😞
  • Some good. Something missing

I so wish this app included some sort of search feature so one could go back and review a specific topic, like articles, for example. AND I don’t appreciate that the app locks me out of reviews after so many tries. I’m old and dumb. Adding more classes before I’m ready for them is counterproductive.
  • Predatory recharging AND no support

Babble makes canceling more difficult and confusing than necessary so you are recharged again. Once you are recharged they tell you to contact them and continue to make it difficult to contact or possibly “Apple rebilling accidentally” do not use babble. Their service and customer support is the quality of toilet water
  • Please do this one thing!

I have a few issues with this app- no customizable flashcard decks, no verb conjugation intensives… BUT I could completely overlook this if there were a hands free feature to this app. If there were at least a mode that was completely voice driven IOT enable app use while driving I believe it would be revolutionary. I would love to practice languages while stuck in traffic (if I must be stuck in traffic). Honestly I’m surprised there aren’t more chat driven apps for people to use while they drive.
  • Practice

It is difficult to navigate. I keep trying to go back and repeat the sessions so I can get better before I can move on, but sometimes it won’t let me. It makes it too difficult to keep learning. We should be able to keep going over and keep practicing as much as we need to before moving forward.
  • Different Pronunciation of Certain Words

This is a great application for learning another language. It’s helping me to refresh my Spanish from the nineteen eighties. What I do not like is that while I’m refreshing my Spanish from the eighties, the sound of the double L is different. For example, I knew that “Llama” has a “Y” sound; yama. Today in this app, llama sounds like Jama with a “J”. I’m using the y sound but, being aware of the j sound. Enjoy learning Spanish from this app. Overall it’s fun.
  • Issue on phone

When spelling most of the time I can not scroll to see or touch the above letters . I’m using an I phone & the format on the phone doesn’t align. So I have to skip many lessons
  • Not worth it!

Why Babbel is not worth it is because you can only do one lesson and then you have to pay to continue. It is pretty pricey too. I was so disappointed because I heard good things about this app. I really wanted a free app that I could learn lots of new languages. Babbel is not that app. And that is why I am only putting one star.
  • Not very useful

Not very user friendly and many unexplained lesson. The Spanish jumps between Latin American and Spain versions. You can’t select to chose a version.
