  • New app is the worst thing ever

Do you mean that to access my activities I need to do 3 taps? … More -> Activities -> Type of Activity These fancy screen are useless as your oxygen sensor takes too long to measure and results are so rough that they are useless. Still no meaningful analysis of trainings over time 1 week - 2 weeks - month etc You are building just another social platform. Very bad :(
  • Worst update ever (Version 5.0

Dear Team, Please review the recent reviews. We, the users, are extremely dissatisfied with the latest update and the associated risks in viewing metrics. Some of us wear the watch simply as a smart accessory, while others, like myself, rely heavily on the metrics. Unfortunately, this update has resulted in a poor user experience (UX). We urge you to reconsider and revert to the previous visualizations in the app. The new oversized tiles are cumbersome and detract from the overall functionality. Data is invaluable, but only if the analysis tools are effective.
  • Updates wipe services and training status fails

Twice Garmin updates have forgotten my devices, and the training status a month after the update, with more than one workout a week, still isn’t working. Also, my weight shows but the scale is no longer connected. It wants me to reset my scale to add it? Why? Won’t that erase a years’ worth of data? This app never has been through QA to the level at which it’s ready for users to adopt. I’m considering switching after more than 20 years with Garmin to another device.
  • New upgrade never connects

I used to love my Garmin, then the new upgrade broke everything. The UI is awful, hard to configure and NEVER stays connected. The older version was perfect. Avoid Garmin now.
  • Terrible Update

Absolutely hate the new view settings. It’s chunky and far less user friendly than before. I wish I could go back. Used to check the app multiple times a day and I could see every thing in nicely organized lines, clicking to expand further if I wanted more detail. Now these giant chunky boxes all over the place make me have to scroll and click to find things and it’s just painful. I now do not use the app except for maybe once a day and sometimes not even that. Five stars on previous version. I hate this version.
  • Overhauled App Is Terrible

** Update ** latest update signed me out and refuses to sync my steps. My watch shows 18k+ steps from yesterday, but nothing in the app. I think they need to look up the definition of “synchronized.” PS: app is useless without an internet connection? Has anyone at this company ever actually hiked or camped? No internet in the middle of the Allegheny National Forest for example. Probably some young engineer who doesn’t understand the concept of not having an internet connection. Real outdoorsy app you’ve got here. What a joke. I’ve had my Garmin watch for about 6 years and it’s still working fine. However, the recently updated Connect app is horrible. It crashes all the time on my iPhone 12. I notice when the Bluetooth symbol on the watch disappears. On top of that, the new Home Screen for the app is just horrible. There was nothing wrong with the Home Screen! Plus, it’s glitchy. I click Steps under “At a Glance” and my sleep data comes up instead. I currently don’t know how to check my steps history, other than the week’s worth on my watch. App developers do this all the time, “fix” something that wasn’t broken because they’re expected to continuously develop their software, even if it’s not necessary. Keep it secure, leave the functionality alone when it’s working fine!
  • Going the wrong direction.

The new app is a waste of space. Give us the option to have the same dashboard that we’ve had for years. This update feels like we’ve gone back in time. Don’t mess with with what is working!!! Very disappointed.

Not sure what ya’ll were thinking with this update. It’s trash.
  • Terrible New App Design Forced on Users

The new user interface is terrible and was forced on users the proper way to offer modifications to a user interface is to offer them to the user, not just arbitrarily Change them. Garmin is just another in a long line of companies trying to make their products so they can serve ads everywhere. Such a waste.
