  • Star Guide App

I am thrilled with how simple Star Guide is to use the very first time you try it!! I just opened the Star Guide App, noticed some bright Stars or Planets, etc, and simply tapped on the brightest object in the sky- I head a pleasant “chime” sound immediately and the name of the object immediately appeared as Venus. Cool! Also- every single inconspicuous little object in space that I tapped on immediately chimed and was identified! Star Guide App is much easier to use and understand than the Night Sky App which is an awesomely powerful and a beautiful App; but Star Guide is MUCH easier to use for first time users like children and adult’s who are just beginning their knowledge quest and simply want to know; “What is THAT up there in the sky?? That one… the one that’s kinda bluish, and seems to twinkle so brightly!! After playing around some more with the Star Guide App, there is so MUCH MORE information available in the App if you just choose what you would like to ADD in the settings menu! Constellations? No problem. And much more to see if you select your preferences in the menu as you learn! I love it and you will too! JW- Des Moines, Iowa

  • Terrible App! No Way to Contact Developer & Price Increase!

There is no way to contact the developer about the increase in pricing! I paid for my yearly subscription of $9.99 only to find, that I have limited access to the app as opposed to having full access like I did prior to renewing my subscription. I was unaware of the price increase. I find the pricing confusing. For example, within the app, the pricing is $19.99 per year (44% off) and $39.99 per year (33% off). So, next year, there is even more of a price increase? Furthermore, if I wanted to upgrade to a higher subscription rate, would I be out of my $9.99 already paid. In other words paying $9.99 plus $19.99 or $39.99? That is very expensive!

Love this app because it’s upfront, easy to use, and more bangs for your buck, giving more options that I can control than other apps I’ve tried. I love it!

.and even constellations that have not risen or are currently in sunlight. The mythological notes also are enjoyable.
  • Been using it for years. Excellent

I have tried other apps but this one is really perfect. All the stars with constellations superimposed over them. Click on any star and you get a detailed side bar with all the details on size, age, etc.. you just aim your iPad to a part of sky you are looking at and it adjusts to show the stars there.
