I really recommend this app to any moms out there! I am a first time mom and this app has really helped me discover my baby and some reasoning to her behaviors!

I used it frequently when my son was first born, it wasn’t really my choice to use the app. A family member raved about it and made me buy it. I only really use it when I notice he gets fussy and check to see if it’s a fussy stage. I don’t worry too much about his growth or targets, because babies are so different. I just personally don’t use it all the time, I’d rather be in the moment than worrying if he is or isn’t hitting the milestones.

This app came recommended by my wife’s lactation consultant in the early days after our daughter arrived. At first, the application was relatively accurate…enough to help us make sense of some things we were experiencing. As time went on, however, Wonderweeks became increasingly confusing and offered nothing even close to our daughter’s schedule. Independent of the “schedule”, I think this process lead to increased frustration as we would find ourselves trying to make sense of what was going on without any indication from Wonderweeks. I’d just suggest you avoid it and experience the growth organically. Just my two cents!

I love this app. It warns you of common growth spurt time/leaps. It gives me peace when I feel like I’m failing I go here and see she’s in the cloudy phase of the leap. It also reminds you of things you can do to help her learn and what to look out for. My 3month old is very sensitive to all sensations.. as I THOUGHT she was a month ago ! Love this apps accuracy.

So far, the app has been fairly accurate. My baby has gone through the various phases/leaps and associated behaviors much as they are laid out in the timelines. He is hitting his milestones right on target e.g. smiling, focusing more intently on patterns and people’s faces, sounds, music and discovering his hands. Overall, it helps explain his behavior and why certain changes are happening based on his brain and neurological development.

Not sure why this app is so highly rated. The info that it touts as the primary rason to get the app (leaps) is avalable for free on the CDC's website. It would be helpful if the "leaps" were accompanied with tehcniques to help soothe the baby during these periods.

We don’t really use it very much. It was fun to explore the app at first but we haven’t found that the app is a very useful tool. We check back periodically to check off skills our baby has learned but we largely have stopped using the app. Also for our baby the app hasn’t been useful because unless I check the app I can’t tell if we’re in a leap or a skills phase because I can’t even tell if our baby is matching up to what the app says, he seems to do things at his own pace so the app is a total crapshoot. It may be more useful to other parents if you really spend the time cataloguing everything and making use of the diary and stuff but we haven’t haven’t had the interest/need/desire to dedicate the time to get the full use of this app.
