The app is hard to navigate through all the ads they pushed to sell your wine. On top of that, the app hangs all the time it has to be closed out.
  • Offers that aren’t offers, coupons that almost never work.

Coupon offers that don’t work - strike that, almost always don’t work - with false feedback ‘this coupon has already been used’. Wha?) Full screen 3rd party video ad (in a foreign language) interrupts your flow upon attempt to transact/checkout, and tapping out/ closing ad doesn’t work (had to hard close app). Just abandoned my case of wine transaction. No one does it better, if measuring how hard it is to go from email offer to purchase.
  • Bad Costumer Service

The costumer service never get in touch with me after I informed that the wines were shipped to wrong address. When they return to sender, I ask for reshipment and they informed, after I insist in the chat to chat with a person , that they were “out of stock”! No sense!!!
  • Sad story…

Vivino was the shazam of wines. With a DB that has been fee with users data and usage, the app then moved to a paid plan. All features that were free before (I don’t mind the ads) are now behind a paywall. I indeed used to recommend and use the app from time to time but I no longer will. Nowadays, everything requires a subscription and honnestly I’m tired of paying monthly (or annually) for an ad-hoc usage of an app. It’s been fun Vivino, thank you for all these years.

This is a really useful app and I understand they have to make money, but locking away existing features that have been in the app for years behind the premium tier feels disrespectful to users.
  • “Epicurean at Heart”

The world of wine was honestly a bit daunting and intimidating before discovering this app. It is like have a personal Wine Connoisseur on demand. Using the app not only helps me navigate, ratings, food pairings and finding great wine selections at great prices, but is also very educational. The best feature is being able to photo scan a label of a wine you like and save it into your wine library. Before in could never keep up with the information. Love it.. highly recommended!
  • This app was 5 stars. They sold out to make money.

This app was the greatest thing that happened to people that needed help selecting wine. Now they sold out hardcore to make money. They went from no commercials to having 3 commercials per wine scan. Even just scrolling through the app now, it has more pop ups then free dialup internet in the 90s. It’s too bad, the only way to remove the ads is a 40$ yearly subscription. Maybe the original founders sold the app or not, the ads now are so excessive that I am looking for an alternative, unfortunately after 2 years… I am deleting it.

Used to be a great app. Recently adverts have made this almost unusable.

Is it possible to incorporate an option to private message between followers? Without changing everything else about the app? Would be helpful to have more of a social aspect up to par with other apps.
  • Customer Service is Terrible

Before buying, check out their customer support contact. They have elected to remove the ability to call and speak with a Customer Representative. They instead have a chat, which is of little support and is through a robot, and they don’t respond to their emails. This place scammed me by sending a sub-par wine, but charged for a premium. When I sought support, the communication stopped. Don’t do business with them, go elsewhere for your wine needs.
