Hulu needs more original content. For years all the content is old movies and shows. Need to keep up with other streaming services.
  • Worse streaming app

Now that Disney is HEAVILY involved, their junk developers came in to mess everything up. Do NOT expect a developer to respond to any of these criticisms. They think the Joe public are idiots and they’re much more esteemed and knowledgeable than us. Another insight: why is this still an Apple editors choice? Because woke supports woke and we’re below their standards.

hulu is solid, i dont mind paying to get around commercials, i even enjoy the variety and dark side of's... what i cant get behind and am completely dumfounded by, is the fact that when i start rewatching a show, or reload a show.... why in the name of baphomet do the shows start where last were watched, i get the middle restarts, but why restart at the credits? that makes zero sense to literally your entire target audience, current and future subscribers. please fix, it can not be that hard, EVERY OTHER STREAMING PLATFORM FIGURED IT OUT, sort it out.
  • Everything works as designed; but the design is bad

Hulu is trying so hard to have a different UX than N3tflix that it chooses worse features over similarities. Also, it remakes you watch ad breaks constantly. God forbid you have to rewind close to an ad break, you’ll have to hear about the same medications or whatever all over again. As someone else said, the vertical view is super annoying in practice and makes it easy to accidentally switch to the next episode or a different show completely. Towards the commercial breaks, the audio gets cut off and doesn’t align with the visuals.
  • Waste of money. Tons of Ads

The lowest priced plan is like 10$ and that plan includes a ton of ads. I’m not sure why I’m paying at all if I can’t watch a show for more than five minutes without a 2 minute ad interrupting. I’m not joking. The shows start with an ad and then every single 5 minutes another ad interrupts and it’s not like 30 second ads here and there. No. They are at least a minute and a half long which believe me gets extremely annoying when it’s so often. I had to delete my account because I could not take it anymore. Going back to Netflix.
  • Location required?

When I was younger I was stalked, and he made sure to let me know on a regular basis that he carried a gun, and he actually tapped my telephone. He did federal time for tapping not just my phone, but the phones of several other people. He’s out now. For an app like Hulu to force me to turn on my location services and risk my life for their services is one of the most selfish and greedy things I’ve ever experienced from a streaming app. How in the world any business thinks it’s good business to force women all over the nation to risk their lives just for the privilege of giving that company money is beyond me. I’ve never once used any service that accesses a local channel from Hulu or live TV, so they shouldn’t have to force me to reveal my location. you should do better, Hulu. Shame on you. No woman should use your service when you make women do this.
  • The worst ad plan ever

I hate this app. I hate this app. I’m making this review after watching 27 minutes of ads straight while trying to watch the final scene of the first season of the Sherlock show. I’ve heard that it’s a big plot twist but I haven’t been able to see it since Hulu has been giving me the same ad sequence on loop whenever I go to it. I’ve tried swiping the app and even hard restarting my phone but nothing is working. I’m just going to have to go to my computer and install uBlock origin and watch it there so I don’t have to watch the ads. Thanks Hulu, now you’re not making as much money.

I’m paying for commercial-free Hulu, but it refuses to download content either on my Fire tablet OR iPad.
