  • In-app ads are incessant even with $40 sub

Title tells the tale. Impossible to avoid, even with “promotions off” selected in-app. They aren’t even necessarily ads for purchases but just their dumb “social network” challenges. Every time you open the app and set off for a run, you’re hit with one of these things. Terrible UX—pains me to think that someone is making a living actively degrading an otherwise useful app.
  • Simply the best run tracker

This app to track runs is great. You can customize it to do different types of runs and have the app give you the right cue, for example 3 minute run, one minute walk. The app also does a great job in keeping your run history. I haven’t used a better run app.

It’s better now. More intuitive to use and it’s easy to create your own workouts. I’ve also used it with a Wahoo heart rate monitor. It connects but the Runkeeper interface is bad. You only see your heart rate when you start a workout. Until then you won’t know. But I’m the settings for audio stats you can choose current heart rate as one of the stats. I’ve been using Runkeeper exclusively for at least eight years. I tried Strava but it insinuates itself into every part of your life and I don’t want that. So I returned to RunKeeper. The free version is good enough.

I’ve been using this app for over 10 years and logged over 1,400 miles now and I couldn’t be happier. This app has kept me in shape and helped me with my rehab after spinal fusion. My family can track my runs and vise versa. Truly one of if not the best running app out there. Keep up the good work RUNKEEPER!

I’m not really a runner. Staying healthy is the primary goal but I do lots of different stuff. I just wanted something to track distance and pace. This does that extremely well with many other available stats.

The Runkeeper app has excellent standard features for tracking my routes, speed, distance, elevation, and other stats which would normally require a paid subscription. It’s become my go-to app for all my training
