    This is the best calorie counter/macro tracking app on the market. Hands down. They’ve never asked me to leave a review or anything. Never even asked me to rate the app. I’ve been in a sort of “lifting limbo” after a year and a half, and I couldn’t figure out what I needed to do to actually get results again. I signed up less than a month ago and I’ve already gotten results significant enough that coworkers are asking what diet I changed to. If there was a lifetime subscription, I’d happily pay whatever money necessary. The algorithm is just magic for a bulk, and I assume it’s just as dialed for a cut or for just maintaining those results. I can’t recommend this app enough and I won’t shut up about it to my fiance. Absolute life changer.

    So I’ve only been using it for a couple of days after using MyFitnessPal for years. Couple of initial impressions: it has a nice look. And I’m looking forward to seeing how the AI adjusts my intake / macros, which is the real differentiator for this app. On the downside, the food database is nowhere near as large as MFP (some point out this is a positive, I don’t necessarily agree). Scanning foods with a bar code has worked well, but other foods haven’t quite been as easy to find (just regular rotisserie chicken not in there?). The biggest thing I’m missing is exercise data. MFP doesn’t entirely adjust properly, but I do like that it takes that into account. I work out a LOT, a combination of cardio and lifting, with some cardio days pretty heavy (3+ hour bike rides, close to 2000 calories burned). Other days all I do is lift. It’s hard for me to trust some of the calorie estimates when it could set a level and determine I’m losing weight on 2000 calories when that could be a big bike day, and then it wants to set that level all days, or increase my calorie intake overall. I’ll update this in the future, but it remains to be seen how well it works without taking exercise into account. That will determine whether I continue past the trial date or not.

    Found this from my favorite science-based lifter Jeff Nippard & it is hands-down the best nutrition app available. The food scanner and label readers make tracking super easy and they already have searchable results if you are lazy like me and don’t want to have to weigh everything. True game changer.

    Update: There are too many mistakes and too many things that don’t match up. Me and my friend scanned the same Dave’s Killer Bread and he got completely different macros and calories than I did. It was way off. That has happened to me for multiple things where I have to go back and plug things in manually cause it just doesn’t work. I regret signing up for the 6 months. Never had this issue with other apps but I wanted to give this app a try for Jeff Nippard.

    I’d been trying to lose fat and retain muscle for years. I’d tried different apps like MyFitnessPal, and they worked somewhat but it wasn’t until I switched to macrofactor that I was finally able to hit my goal.

    I’ve been using MacroFactor for a while, and it's the best macro and micronutrient app I've tried. The food database is extensive and accurate, which is crucial for tracking nutrients. The interface is clean and intuitive, making it easy to use, even for beginners. The dashboard gives a great macro snapshot, with the flexibility to drill down for more detailed information. This feature helps me keep track of my nutritional goals effectively. I’ve used the app to successfully lose fat while maintaining lean muscle mass, which is a big plus. One standout feature is its ability to estimate daily calorie burn with impressive accuracy. As I continue to use it, the app’s AI adjusts my daily calorie goal weekly, typically adding about a hundred calories, and I still lose weight at the pace I chose, which is half a pound a week. You can lose more but that risks losing muscle mass too. Overall, MacroFactor has been an excellent tool for my fitness journey. If you're looking for an app to help you track macros and micros, I'd highly recommend giving this one a try!

    This is in fact, a novel approach to managing caloric consumption, whether you’re gaining or losing. It’s been exactly what I needed. I am very happy so far with Macrofactor! For about 12 years ive been a premium member to multiple calorie trackers and they worked in a basic way. Now I have more specific fat loss goals and I have needed a weekly change in macros. I really have appreciated the coaching aspect of this app. It makes a suggestion to my consumption based on my goals and modifies it for me. This has been brilliant and saved me from hiring another human. I have questioned whether to trust it, but I did and I have modified my macros just in time to prevent me going off track. it’s difficult to explain how it’s different than the other apps but I encourage you to try it! It really is better than the rest.

    I’ve been using MacroFactor for over a year and have nothing but praise for the app and the team that built it. There are constant improvements and optimizations being made that help elevate this far above MyFitnessPal. This app is worth every penny.
