  • Helps me see future expenses

I’ve used many apps and developed my own spreadsheet tracking over the years. This is the best app I’ve seen. I really like the way it predicts future balances based on my recurring expenses. It has also illuminated several superfluous subscriptions and memberships.
  • Does not work as advertised, they steal your money.

This app/service only partially works. Some accounts will not connect and therefore do not show. Yes you can add manually, but i can do that on a spreadsheet. I reached out to thier support, gave them info and screenshots as requested multiple times and they kept replying by stating they were “escalating to thier team”. I have asked for a refund since I paid for a year and they said they can not refund because its outside of the 30 day refund policy. Aweful experience. Stay away! Update: Folowing many emails and almost immediately after posting this and an “X” post. They finally issued a refund.
  • Slow to update

I came from mint and have tried monarch money and ynab. This was the most frustrating of all with no option of a trial period. Is not user friendly or intuitive, which made it hard to navigate and learn. Particularly with credit cards, it is incredibly delayed in updating them, even if you refresh or reconnect the account, it takes a week or more.
  • Basic functions do not work and no refund available

After the 30 day trial period, I discovered basic technical issues with this product. If I edited dates for transactions to pull from another month’s budget, sometimes transactions would go missing and be completely deleted. The search function was worthless, I would type vendors verbatim what was listed on the transaction and they would not appear. My budget amounts would revert to old versions after I had changed them and be inaccurate until I realized weeks later. Customer support would not refund me despite all these issues because they happened outside the trial period. Genuinely angry because this defeats the basic point of the program.
  • I’m impressed

After decades of old fashioned managing by stuffed envelopes that evolved into early Quicken generations and then into the digital monthly budget world of Mint,I have arrived here on the SimpliFi platform. It took some time to figure out how to re-wire my thinking into the Spending Plan. I’m very impressed. I didn’t really expect that this platform would improve and simplify the management of our family’s finances, but has it ever. The challenges of fragmented institution aggregation remain, but no doubt will improve over time. (Apple Card and Savings integration vote here!) But the Spending plan and Reporting power of this platform are awesome and improve the communication between my partner and me. Very well done conceptually, design and presentation, and thank you for solid and reliable platform.
  • Dishonest Marketing & Pricing

They say all over their site that they were endorsed by Wirecutter. A search of Wirecutter shows no article recommending them. They say $3.99 or $2.99 a month but make you pay a full year up front without ever getting to try the app.
  • No free trial?

I’m very interested in trying this budgeting app, but very uninterested in spending $35 on an app I’ve never even had the chance to see. You really don’t offer a free trial period for users to see your features and setup? Am I missing something? It seems strange to have 100% of your app behind the paywall, especially for budgeting, which can be subject to so much personal preference.
  • No Apple Card Support and no communication

Despite Apple releasing FinanceKit API months ago, Quicken Simplifi support’s only response is to blame Apple (which is false, or inaccurate at best) and when pressed they simply refuse to give an update.
  • Just added rollover.

Just added rollover feature for planned spending. That was the only feature I missed since changing from Mint. This app is great.
  • App crashes on launch. Currently unusable.

Has been this way format least a week. Need to ship a fix immediately or rollback the app to a stabler version.
