  • The App’s tech isn’t easy and streamlined for Apple (Using Calendar). Still worth using though.

    I will start by saying I LOVE the Skylight Calendar, and it’s made my family’s life a lot easier overall. However, using the app (and you HAVE to use the app for some things vs. desktop site), is TERRIBLE. At least for Apple products. It’s confusing, with too many steps, and often, when you get where you need, (like finding an “upload calendar” button) it’s just a set of directions for what to do yourself on your phone. The app could really use an overhaul to match how wonderful the calendar product is. Once everything is set up though, it’s not the worst. However, let’s talk about the list functions, like making a grocery list, or a to do list, which could streamline across your home calendar, and any family member’s device with the app. Sounds amazing! However, because the app is not at all user friendly, it really doesn’t get used, which is extremely disappointing. I also really wish they’d come out with an Apple Watch app, if only for the LIST functions! All in all, buy the calendar, but be prepared for subpar app of you're a part of the Apple family.

    What a beautiful, streamlined, wonderful way to connect families all across the world! Precious photos displayed in colorful high definition move across the digital frame, filling the recipient’s heart with pure joy! Skylight is especially perfect for grandparents who live far from beloved children and grandchildren; it is amazing how the shared photos and videos make you feel part of your families’ busy lives, even from a distance! I cannot recommend Skylight highly enough! Thank you for this incredible means of sharing and preserving memories, but especially for its priceless gift of bringing families closer together across the miles!

  • Unable to add events since app update

    The is app is useless on iPhone. Since the recent updates you cannot use the app to add events to the calendar it glitches when you try to add an event and causes the keyboard not to work. Also it is stuck in portrait mode on n iPad. What used to be convenient is now very inconvenient…useless actually…please fix this this asap.

  • Great app - but lots of room to grow

    I bought the calendar for myself and my partner, and the shared calendar and dinner planning is so great! You can tell this app is still working out the kinks - I wish there was an easy way to submit bug reports because I have them but don’t have a way of easily letting the developers know. Which is a bummer because I want this app to thrive & get better!

  • Waste of money

    We haven’t even had our skylight calendar for a full year and essentially unusable now. It says it’s connected to WiFi, but support says it’s not online. Did a WiFi reset like they wanted, no change at all. Tried to do a factory reset, but just get a message that says “please try again” and it won’t perform a factory reset. After multiple instances of their updates breaking the device and requiring a reset, this last one has left it an expensive paperweight after 10 months.

    My grandkids are in California and I’m in Kentucky, the skylight has been wonderful to allow me to see the kids in there activities as they grow up. It really beats posting on social media and I think much safer…. Wonderful bday gift from my kids and their spouses ❤️

    Of course this app is so easy to use, but the best part is being able to look at it whenever I need a boost. Not only are there wonderful pics of the grandkid, but also of my childhood home and old photos of my parents and when my kids were young. The frame contains so many of the highlights of my life - what a treasure!

    So great for sharing photos with relatives who are not on social media! My grandmother looks forward to the updates! We have 4 frames in our family and everyone loves them.
