Lots of bugs with kindle beta. Limit on words spoken that isn’t widely advertised.
  • Updates needed!!

I enjoy using this app… when it wants to function properly. It pauses a lot and sometimes sounds garbled… like an alien who recorded a rap album… But over all it’s great and I’ve listened to hours and hours already! Of the same chapter, but hours nonetheless 🤪
  • IOS not supported?

Trying to use Speechify to read NYTimes and find that I have to forward the article to Safari, meaning to my laptop ? Too much work. I’ve used Speechify to study, somewhat easier, but this app disappoints. I thought ease of use would be better. Too expensive for what it offers.
  • Would not get off my screen

Kept loading on my screen, would not get off the middle of my screen, could not force quit. You don’t have to get premium to use this app but they WILL NOT STOP SHOVING IT IN YOUR FACE.
  • This App is a scam

I downloaded it to read a book for me since I have dyslexia. It didn’t know how to read the textbook. It kept jumping around, not reading the right stuff. On top of that I got a three day free trial. And I canceled it because the app is awful and I’m not going to pay $150 for something that can’t even read right. I even went as far as to delete my account! yet somehow every single day they’re trying to charge me $150 that I don’t have. I can’t even use my bank account anymore because they try to take it out every single day. And there’s no way to contact anyone to fix the issue. do not get this. They will pray on your weaknesses and charge you money even if you cancel the subscription and delete your account.
  • Frustrating lack of cohesion across platforms

This app has a lot of potential to make life much better and more efficient. Unfortunately, at present, there are too many differentials between the different platforms of this tool. There needs to be the same functionality that exists on iOS as in the web and as in the macOS app. Currently, it is not possible to utilize custom voices or superior voices in every situation. Additionally, our own custom voices need to be able to have higher emotive qualities similar to the professional voices – that would go a very long way at making this a stellar app. Additionally, this does not do well on reading research papers and data in such as well as footnotes and footnote references within the actual text body and does not skip footnotes. Overall, this is interesting, but expensive, and I have invested in it, but I would like to see at least the above issues addressed very immediately.
  • Dyslexic, it’s so hectic, in my head I’ll reck it

Since I was 5 I thought this, at 41 my eyes still go to the bottom of the page or the end of the one sentence. It’s CRAZY. I hope this works. I’ll be back to edit this after a few weeks!
  • The app superheats my iphone 14 pro max

It drains my battery very quickly. It also crashes all the time. I tried NaturalReaders app. It works more smoothly and it has more natural voices.
  • Scam

What is the point of a ‘premium’ subscription if they limit your app usage. After a certain amount of words it automatically switches to an AI voice that is far too grating to be bearable. Contacting support does nothing. Difficult to navigate through the app. It does not bookmark your ‘progress’ through various devices. Difficult to find chapters, texts, passages, etc. within a publication. Consumer beware!!

If you think I’m paying 120 bucks upfront for a simple non pre 2010 ai voice your freaking high.
