Lyft Driver

I’ve worked with Lyft for almost 2 years and soon I will no longer use Lyft services. I would recommend Uber services to people going forward so just a heads up on that. Although I will say I am grateful of being able to work with Lyft for the time I worked with you all at Lyft.

Extremely bad app to drive for

If you want to become a driver make sure you contact your insurance company and notify them first which will probably bring up the price of your insurance. Even if you add additional insurance from your own insurance company or already have commercial insurance you will still have to pay insurance fees on Lyft but they hide it as “External Fees”. If someone hits your vehicle during a ride you will be responsible to handle all the damages on your vehicle and medical expenses for you and that passenger even though you already pay “commercial insurance” on lyft thats why I recommend notifying your insurance company first before signing up. Lyft says you keep 70% of your earnings that is a very misleading and untrue statement you actually only keep 43% of your earnings might be less depending on your area Passengers are extremely rude ungrateful and very judgmental depending on the area the reason i say this is because i once picked up this couple that wreaked of pot I couldn’t cancel the ride since they were already in the car they weren’t rude at all but for the remaining rides i did that day passengers kept reporting my car about the smell and left mean comments even though it was something out of my control as a driver sure I could’ve tried to remove the smell but that cost money and lyft already pays us peanuts so yeah.. Also as a driver i would not recommend picking anyone from supermarkets up unless they’re getting off work a lot of times entitled customers will want you to help them load up groceries even though you’re only getting paid 43% of whatever they paid for the ride so lets say its a $10 ride you make $4.30 and also remember this before going above and beyond for a customer on 15% of them actually tip its not because they’re awful people it’s because lyft over charge them and under pay drivers which will only lead to more entitled customers and rude drivers.

Just use uber instead. Tried using the app and it literally won’t load ANYTHING when I open it. I’ve all troubleshooting streps online and no help. Tried contacting support and got a response but the issue was completely ignored. Almost as if these were generic responses from a computer program. Could not reach actual support or get issue resolved at all. Since then I’ve decided to use uber instead and have had FLAWLESS experience. This is coming from an every day person with no bias I just hate the fact you literally CANNOT get in contact with human support. Would’ve given 0 stars if possible

The app keeps displaying incorrect time to pick up and time from pick up to destination. Says 3 minutes to passenger as 7 minutes to their destination. YET AS SOON AS TOU ACCEPT THE TRIP THE TIME TO PICK UP JUMPS TO 12 MINUTES!! Then you pick them up, and instead of 7 minutes to the drop off, it changes to 15 minutes! So instead of a 10 minute trip total you just drove 27 minutes and only got $5!!!!! I keep telling them, showing NUMEROUS screenshots of every ride that this happened with, and they just keep telling me to do troubleshooting and reinstall the app! Absolutely the worst customer support representatives in the world. No one is this dense. Just say “OK, ILL MAKE A NOTE OF YOUR ISSUE AND SEND IT TO OUR APP DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT” Done. That’s all that’s needed. But no, keep wasting everyone’s time and while you straight up LIE to hard working people. IF THIS IS AINT SOME SMALL CLAIMS COURT CASE IDK WHAT IS. Fix yo app!!!

The app keeps logging me off asking to take a break 1 minutes after starting the day. Lol I only have 3 seconds to press stay online button. When anyone drives there’s no way you look at the app every 3 seconds. This is how they log off drivers when there’s supply more than demand. This is illegal

I understand the companies out to make money, but you cannot keep cutting the fares back for the drivers or out here working to provide rides for your service and you’re cutting our pay we cannot work for $12-$14 an hour plus our expenses please summon address the issue so we can get paid better

Lyft Black No Rides Raleigh Durham Area + Airport Having Lyft Black in the app is great; however it would be better if the passengers had it in THEIR app so that they could actually request a Lyft Black ride. Please fix this thank you.

How dare you become even more greedy and start charging drivers to use their own cars. External fees are u serious? GET OUT PPL. Lyft is creating a exit strategy for the future as technology evolves and the ppl at the top are stuffing their pockets before it takes effect, likely around 2030. GET OUT IF YOU CAN, GO BACK TO SCHOOL IF YOU CAN bcus it’s not sustainable ave the economy is obit getting more messed up.
