Voting and Karma: Instead of likes and hearts, Reddit’s social network runs on upvotes or downvotes. Voting on posts and comments increase or decrease the creator’s karma, and helps popular and relevant posts rise to the top, while filtering out low-quality or irrelevant posts. While karma doesn't directly impact your ability to use Reddit, more karma can increase posts’ visibility and help you get noticed. Some communities require karma to post or comment, which helps prevent spam or low-quality content. I miss the third party apps. Maybe they set too high of a standard - I was spoiled. This app is ok as far as navigation and posting. But it seems every other day I try to read something and “server error” or “something went wrong”. The only way to go back to using Safari is to delete the app, and on Safari it reloads whenever you expand comment threads so that’s not really a great experience either. So I’m in a cycle of Googling - finding a post I want to read - getting app error - deleting app - reading on web - reloading app. Never had these issues on Alien Blue.

Stay away from Reddit, not only is it a Hivemind full of cringy pseudo-intellectuals, but the site admins and mods are extremely biased who need to get out more. Do yourself a favor, spend your time elsewhere.

Today I learned that Reddit is a toxic social media environment that promotes hate and discrimination. I won’t be using this site again.

Even though I deleted the Reddit app ( & don’t want anything to do with this anymore ) I keep getting notifications from them. Totally unacceptable and ridiculous.
  • Would love to avoid

Prolly one of the worst apps I’ve used. See a post you want to comment on or upvote?! Opps, tapping nothing on that post just doesn’t work. Want a promoted garbage ad every three posts? You got it. What trash heap is in charge of this trash app?
